In Haitian Vodou, I have heard some people refer to Erzulie Dantor as a "bouzin", translates as bitch (for those non- Creole speaking folks ;-)) So I did some thinking. Now it is said that a bitch is considered to be a female dog. A bitch is considered to be a woman that can sleep with men without having any feelings for them, and therefore black hearted.
Ironically, Newport is one of the popular brands of cigarettes among the black community. However, cigarettes have a adverse effect on the body... the General Surgeon warning on the box states that smoking may cause defects during birth, and that those whom are pregnant should avoid smoking.
Smoking cigarettes however, goes a bit deeper than that, or so I have found through casual conversation. For who smoke regularly it can prevent pregnancy from occurring. The sperm of a man is affected, and effects the womb of a woman. To say the least.
Now cards historically have been used strategically, whether through warfare executed through the military, or the elite. In Haitian Vodou, fortune telling can conducted with the use of a deck of playing cards. Dantor can be represented by a Queen of Spades. (Both images have been displayed above).
In conclusion a bitch nonetheless is a dog. A male dog without a scrotum is neutered, but a female that baron is a Spade.
It may seem far-fetched, but may be enough to make you go hmmm?
